Petr Rada, took over as the head coach of the Dukla Prague A-team!

On July 26, 2022, a pre-season press conference was held at Juliska. The management of Dukla once again announced the highest goal, which is to advance to the first league. A number of measures were taken for this, as emphasized by the chairman of the board of directors of the club Ing. Bohumil Paukner. One of the club’s legends, Petr Rada, took over as the head coach of the Dukla Prague A-team! His assistant will be Jiří Vágner, with whom he already worked in Jablonec. “I returned to where I practically started my career. Some things have changed, but the cabin has remained de facto the same. I saw the place where I was sitting and coincidentally my son is also sitting there now. From this point of view, there is a bit of nostalgia here, but that is already in the past,” said Petr Rada after signing the contract. “The present is here and now and I’m going in here thinking we want to try and play at the top of the table and preferably get back into the league. We know it will be difficult, but I believe we will all pull together. Of course, we also need to strengthen the staff a bit to be competitive,” he explained. Petr Rada first came to Juliska in 1973 as a teenager. He played a total of nine seasons, made 245 league starts and in 1982 was a prominent figure for Dukla when they won the championship. He also won three championships in the Czechoslovak Cup (1981, 1983, 1985) and belongs to the outstanding personalities of the club’s history
