PHILIPPINE EMBASSY SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDES FIRST OUTREACH MISSION IN PLZEN
The Embassy of the Philippines in the Czech Republic successfully conducted its first consular outreach mission in Plzen on 12 February 2023.
About 80 Filipinos, mostly new to the Czech Republic, availed of the following services: passport and notarization of documents, verification of employment documents, registration for overseas voting, and consultation on consular, ATN, and labor concerns.
A main highlight of the outreach mission is the post-arrival orientation seminar which covered the rights and obligations of Filipino workers in the Czech Republic, access to consular and assistance-to-nationals services, and labor and employment-related services.
Earlier in the day, in partnership with the Czech Ministry of the Interior’s Centers for Support of Integration of Foreigners in Plzen, the Embassy co-sponsored the adaptation and integration seminar for 30 Filipino workers who arrived in the region within the last six months. The four-hour course covered the rights and obligations of foreigners in the Czech Republic; the fundamental values of and daily life, culture and customs prevailing in the country; and the organizations and institutions that provide advisory services to foreign nationals.
The adaptation and integration course is required of foreigners within one year from obtaining their residence permit in the Czech Republic.
The Embassy will announce to the Filipino community the next outreach mission that will be held in the second quarter of 2023 in due course. END
