Following his presentation of credentials to President Petr Pavel in April 2023, Philippine Ambassador Eduardo R. Meñez called on Czech Minister for Foreign Affairs Jan Lipavsky at Czernin Palace on 20 June 2023.

Both officials discussed strengthening and broadening political and economic relations between the Philippines and the Czech Republic, including efforts to continue high-level exchanges of visits to discuss several substantive matters, following the recent visits of Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala and Deputy Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Jan Skopeček to the Philippines in the earlier part of the year; the upcoming 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations; and, the Indo-Pacific region.
