Advance reviews for The Devil Conspiracy haven’t been overly kind to the new release, but the Czech locations have received some praise.

“In visual terms, The Devil Conspiracy is also frequently on the ball, from the use of splendid historical locations to production designer Ondřej Lipenský’s mix of Gothic and sci-fi motifs,” notes Variety’s Dennis Harvey in what is otherwise a pan.
“Czech Republic sets are frequently impressive — from blessed art galleries to mountaintop corporate strongholds — after an introduction in Lucifer’s stormily desolate domain,” writes IGN’s Matt Donato.
“Director Nathan Frankowski utilizes the beautiful and haunting Czech Republic countryside, and the few glimpses of hell we witness are evocative of J. R. R. Tolkien’s Mount Doom from The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, filled with flying demons, volcanoes, and massive lava flows,” says Irish Film Critic’s James McDonald in a more positive take.

The Devil Conspiracy also stars Joe Anderson (Across the Universe) as Lucifer, with Peter Mensah (Snake Eyes) playing the Archangel Michael. Joe Doyle (Salem), James Faulkner (Atomic Blonde), Spencer Wilding (Men in Black: International), and Eveline Hall co-star alongside Prague-based actors Brian Caspe, Jim High, Kevin Michael Clarke, Pavel Kříž, and Jiří Valeš.
A release for The Devil Conspiracy in Czech cinemas is not in the cards, but look for the new horror film to appear on streaming services in the next few months.
