Prague to Host ‘Planning for Autonomous Mobility 2024’: Navigating Future Roads

On April 9th and 10th, 2024, the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic and the ERTICO academy will unveil a pivotal training event, ‘Planning for Autonomous Mobility’, in Prague. This initiative aims to steer the future of autonomous vehicle (AV) deployment, addressing regulatory landscapes and best practices critical for advancing Cooperative, Connected, and Automated Mobility (CCAM).

Day One: Laying the Foundation

Participants will dive into the essentials of CCAM on the first day, exploring the multifaceted role it plays in today’s mobility ecosystem. The agenda includes dissecting regulatory challenges that come with AV deployment and evaluating infrastructure readiness. Highlighting the day, success stories from various European Union member states will be shared, offering insights into their legislative frameworks, the transition from testing to real operations, and the comprehensive preparation of stakeholders involved.

Day Two: Envisioning the Future

The following day shifts focus towards the practicalities of large-scale AV and CCAM deployment. Discussion points will cover the exploration of European grants, AV pilot initiatives, and detailed workshop sessions aimed at pilot development within the Czech Republic. Moreover, the discourse will extend to business models, identifying upgrade needs, and strategizing deployment in both urban and interurban settings. These discussions aim to chart a course for the successful integration of autonomous vehicles into existing and future mobility landscapes.

Interactive Engagement and Knowledge Exchange

What sets this event apart is the emphasis on interactive sessions and peer-to-peer exchanges, designed to foster an engaging environment for knowledge sharing. This approach not only facilitates a deeper understanding of the subject matter but also enables participants to network with experts and peers, potentially sparking innovative collaborations and solutions in the realm of autonomous mobility.

As the ‘Planning for Autonomous Mobility 2024’ event approaches, its significance becomes ever more apparent. It promises not just to be a mere gathering but a landmark forum that could shape the trajectory of autonomous vehicle deployment across Europe and beyond. By delving into regulatory, operational, and strategic aspects of AV deployment, the event is poised to offer invaluable insights and foster discussions that could drive the future of mobility towards unprecedented horizons.
