Reception to mark the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
At the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Czech Republic, 13.9. 2023 held a reception to mark the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Czech Republic, Feng Biao, greeted those present. Guests included ex-President Zeman, ex-Prime Minister Paroubek and Deputy Foreign Minister Huliciusi and ambassadors, as well as other distinguished guests.
In a speech, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Czech Republic, Feng Biao. recalled the balance of 2023 ” In the first half of this year, the amount of chinese foreign trade imports and exports exceeded 20 trillion yuan (roughly 60 trillion Czech crowns) for the first time compared to the same period in history, and imports of consumer goods reached nearly 1 trillion yuan (roughly 3 trillion Czech crowns). The International Monetary Fund recently predicted that China’s contribution to global economic growth will amount to about a third this year.”
He also stressed that “China attaches great importance to the development of Sino-Czech relations, firmly believes that healthy, stable and mutually beneficial Sino-Czech relations are preferable for both countries and peoples, and is willing to share with the Czech Republic and other countries of the world the fruits of china’s path to modernization. China has already put the Czech Republic back on the list of countries for group tours abroad, optimised visa policy and introduced a number of facilitating measures to allow foreigners, including Czechs, to travel smoothly to China. It believes this will speed up the resumption of mutual exchange and friendly contacts between the two nations. Since taking office, I have held extensive exchanges with people from all areas in the Czech Republic, visited a number of places and businesses, and supported visits by several Chinese delegations to the Czech Republic, actively promoting Sino-Czech friendship and cooperation. China is ready to cooperate with the Czech side on the basis of the principles of mutual respect, equal treatment and mutual benefit to exorcise a favourable political atmosphere, expand exchanges and cooperation in various fields, and promote the healthy and stable development of Sino-Czech relations to bring more and better benefits to the people of both countries.”
