There are persons that raise to the status of legends already during their life time.  There are persons that we all feel like being part of our lives even if we do not know them personally. There are persons that achieve that supreme level of representativeness that we already know that they are immortal. Karel Schwarzenberg is one of them and his departure from this life has enhanced, if this was ever possible, his charismatic profile.

The Prince Karel Schwarzenberg has given a major contribution to the political and cultural life of his country. He has represented a fulgid example for a number of generations and will continue doing so.
