A Prestigious Charity Event

On 7 June 2026, the historic Martinic Palace (Martinický palác), overlooking Prague Castle, hosted the SANANIM Charity Gala 2026. The elegant evening brought together ambassadors, business leaders, philanthropists, members of the international community and supporters of SANANIM to raise funds for one of the Czech Republic’s most respected charitable organizations.

Thirty-Six Years of Support

The 2026 gala marked the 36th anniversary of this long-standing fundraising tradition. Over more than three decades, the SANANIM Gala has grown into one of Prague’s best-known charity events, combining fine dining, fashion, cultural performances and fundraising to support addiction prevention, treatment and rehabilitation programmes.

About SANANIM

Founded in 1990, SANANIM is the Czech Republic’s oldest and one of its largest non-profit organizations dedicated to helping people affected by substance addiction. The organization operates prevention programmes, counselling services, outpatient and residential treatment centres, therapeutic communities, harm-reduction initiatives and social reintegration programmes. It also provides valuable support to families whose lives have been affected by addiction.

The Purpose of the Gala

The annual gala is organized to generate financial support for SANANIM’s activities while raising public awareness about addiction as a medical and social issue. Donations and sponsorships help finance prevention projects, treatment services and educational programmes that improve the lives of thousands of people every year.

Martinic Palace

The gala took place in the magnificent Martinic Palace, one of Prague’s finest Renaissance palaces located in Hradčany near Prague Castle. Built in the second half of the sixteenth century for the Martinic noble family, the palace is renowned for its beautifully preserved Renaissance architecture, richly decorated façades, vaulted interiors and historic ceremonial halls. Over the centuries it has welcomed members of the Bohemian nobility, diplomats and distinguished visitors, making it an ideal venue for prestigious cultural and charitable events.

An Elegant Evening

Guests enjoyed an elegant dinner, a charity fashion show, entertainment and fundraising activities, including auctions and prize drawings that have become traditional highlights of the event.
