Ski Bílá Unveils State-of-the-Art Six-Seat Heated Ski Lift in Festive Grand Opening

In a celebratory event on a festive Saturday afternoon, Ski Bílá, the largest ski resort in Beskydy, proudly introduced its latest enhancement—a cutting-edge six-seat heated ski lift. This significant upgrade replaces the well-worn four-seater lift that faithfully served the resort for 17 years. The grand unveiling was marked by a vibrant atmosphere and enthusiastic attendance.

Reportedly, the operators of Ski Bílá invested a substantial 150 million crowns in the construction of the new lift, reflecting a commitment to providing visitors with a top-tier skiing experience. The lift was initially put into operation on a trial basis on Tuesday, receiving a blessing from the Ostrava-Opavian Diocese to ensure its safe and successful functioning.

Jaroslav Vrzgula, the head of Ski Bílá, emphasized the impressive features of the new lift, describing it as a six-seater detachable system equipped with protective bubbles and heated seats. Vrzgula highlighted the culmination of a sixty-year effort in the resort’s development, further noting that other facilities within the resort have undergone innovations and modernization.

Despite some slopes being temporarily out of operation due to melting snow, the grand opening drew a substantial crowd of ski enthusiasts. The resort experienced full parking lots and bustling ski slopes. As part of the celebration, Ski Bílá offered an all-day ski pass for a nominal fee of just two hundred crowns, attracting visitors from various regions.

Roman Papa, a skier from Slovak Trenčín, expressed his delight with the new lift, praising its warmth and protective features. Many skiers and snowboarders echoed similar sentiments, commending the lift’s speed compared to its predecessor. While weather conditions limited access to all slopes, attendees enjoyed a diverse program featuring music, dancing, competitions, ski demonstrations, and an exhilarating ski mountaineering race. The grand opening affirmed Ski Bílá’s commitment to providing a premier skiing experience, blending modern amenities with a lively and engaging atmosphere for winter sports enthusiasts.
