Sunset, Style and the Italian Aperitivo Spirit

Terrazza MARTINI officially opens above the rooftops of Prague

On 15 July, Tomáš Kučera, MARTINI Brand Ambassador, welcomed invited guests to the official opening of Terrazza MARTINI, the first MARTINI-branded terrace in the Czech Republic. Located at Fly Vista on the rooftop of Máj Národní, the venue offers the highest rooftop experience in Prague’s historic city centre, with breathtaking panoramic views across the Old Town, the New Town, Prague Castle and many of the Czech capital’s most famous landmarks.

The weather could hardly have been more perfect. Pleasant summer temperatures, elegant live music and a spectacular sunset created an unforgettable atmosphere as guests enjoyed a wide selection of MARTINI cocktails and chilled Prosecco while overlooking one of Europe’s most beautiful historic skylines.

One of the evening’s most popular attractions invited guests to step behind the bar and prepare their own MARTINI cocktails under the guidance of professional bartenders. Those who mastered the art of mixing were rewarded with an exclusive MARTINI apron, making the experience both entertaining and memorable.

The opening also celebrated the timeless Italian aperitivo tradition. More than simply enjoying a drink before dinner, the aperitivo represents a lifestyle centred on conversation, friendship and relaxation. Since its founding in Turin in 1863, MARTINI has become one of Italy’s most recognised international brands, famous for its vermouths, sparkling wines and classic cocktails enjoyed around the world.

The inauguration of Terrazza MARTINI also reflects the remarkable transformation of one of Prague’s architectural landmarks. Originally opened in 1975, Máj Národní became one of Czechoslovakia’s first large self-service department stores and an icon of modernist architecture. Following an extensive renovation completed in 2024, the building reopened with an entirely new mixed-use concept, combining shopping, gastronomy, entertainment, cultural attractions and rooftop experiences. Today it has evolved into one of Prague’s most vibrant lifestyle destinations, with Fly Vista providing its spectacular crowning feature high above the city.

With impeccable organisation, warm hospitality and one of the finest panoramic terraces in Prague, the opening of Terrazza MARTINI marked far more than the launch of a new venue. It introduced a sophisticated meeting place where premium cocktails, Italian elegance, contemporary gastronomy and breathtaking views come together. There is little doubt that Terrazza MARTINI will become one of the capital’s favourite destinations for unforgettable summer evenings.
