Temporary Disruption in Prague Metro Line A: Alternative Tram Services Provided

Prague, Czech Republic – Commuters in Prague are advised of a temporary disruption in the Prague metro service along Line A this upcoming weekend, which will affect travel between Dejvická and Můstek stations. The disruption is a result of essential track maintenance, prompting the Transport Company to implement this temporary measure. To ensure minimal inconvenience to passengers, alternative tram service lines XA and 35 will be in operation during this period.

The replacement service line XA will operate along a circular route, covering key stops including Nádraží Podbaba, Vítězné náměstí (Dejvická metro station), Hradčanská, Malostranská, Staroměstská, Národní třída, Václavské náměstí (Můstek metro station), Masarykovo nádraží, Náměstí Republiky, and more, providing commuters with an alternative means of transportation during the metro disruption. Line 35 will follow the same route but in the opposite direction, catering to the travel needs of passengers.

In addition to the alternative tram services, bus lines 107 and 147 will experience extensions of their routes to Červený vrch via Bořislavka due to the service disruption. Furthermore, trams 8 and 18 will make unique stops at Červený vrch, enhancing connectivity for passengers.

It’s important to note that the disruption in metro service will be localized between Dejvická and Můstek stations. For the remaining stretches of the metro line, specifically between Dejvická and Nemocnice Motol and between Můstek and Depo Hostivař stations, regular service will continue as usual. In case passengers encounter any confusion or require assistance, station attendants will be on hand to provide guidance and support at the respective stops.

The temporary disruption has been scheduled to facilitate essential track maintenance, ensuring the long-term safety and efficiency of the Prague metro system. Passengers are encouraged to plan their journeys accordingly and make use of the provided alternative tram services to minimize any inconvenience during this period.
