On the 16th of October, the Egyptian Embassy organized the 50th anniversary of the glorious 6th of October war victory. The war was fought against Israel. Egypt has always celebrated the anniversary of this victory officially since 1973.

The opening speech has been offered by Staff Colonel Khaled Rady, Defence Attaché, who has spoken with a strong feeling of patriotism.  Military delegates from the Czech Government as well as from the other Embassies in Prague have attended the event. A number of Ambassadors has also been present, as typical in such occasions.

A rich buffet of Egyptian typical delicacies has accompanied the celebration and the atmosphere has been extremely pleasant.
