The best Czech footballer of the season is Soucek

Tomáš Souček was voted the best Czech footballer of the season. He won the Golden Ball poll, which is voted for by journalists, for the third time in four years. He outscored the second Antonin Barca by a single point, the smallest difference in the 27-year history. He decided on the last ballot in which it was taken into account that he had won the Conference League with West Ham and had just beaten Barca with Fiorentina (2-1) in the final.
The Czech Golden Ball is announced as a competitive year, especially in the autumn and especially in the spring. The results are then added together.
“I really appreciate this award,” Southee said in front of the press as he accepted the winner’s trophy. “I take that as an appreciation of my work, which I’m doing at a good level. But I rank the team’s achievements higher.”
But he did not win any of the parts, but he was the best in the vote total. Last year’s winner, Patrik Schick, was eighth because he did not play for a large portion of the season due to injury.
Third in the overall standings was Vaclav Cerny of Twente Enschede with a significant gap behind Soucek and Barca.
The record holder of the poll is former goalkeeper Petr Cech with 12 first-half goals, Soucek ranks third behind Pavel Nedvěd.
