The big premiere

During the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, the world premiere of Miroslav Krobot’s new film The Big Premiere took place in the large hall of the Thermal Hotel in Karlovy Vary, which is now coming to cinemas. The grand premiere will be released in Czech cinemas on July 21, 2022 by the distribution company Falcon.

In a comedy full of unexpected situations, viewers will see Pavel Šimčík and Iva Janžurová in the lead roles. They can also look forward to Klára Melíšková, Iva Pazderková, Jenovéfa Boková, Jakub Žaček and Miroslav Krobot.
On the screenplay of his third feature film, Krobot collaborated again in tandem with Lubomír Smékal.  In the film, the Prague actor Šnajdr flees from his half-crazy wife to Olomouc, where he wants to launch his big directorial project with his grandmother. The main character of the quirky actor Pavel Šnajdro was written by Miroslav Krobot and Lubomír Smékal on the body of Pavel Šimčík.  “The film is partly also about partner relationships. Screenwriter Luboš Smékal is originally a psychotherapist and worked in   marriage counseling. It is a great advantage, as I, as a theater actor, tend to look for the most effective solution, whereas he will say when something could not happen. It’s a good correction, the characters’ relationships are quite true and believable, explained Miroslav Krobot.
