The Julius Prague Awarded Prestigious LEED Gold Certification for Sustainability

The Julius Prague is a leading hotel and residence, located on Senovazne Square in Prague. It is delighted to announce that it has recently attained the prestigious LEED Gold Certification for building design and construction.

LEED, an acronym for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is a globally recognized symbol of sustainability excellence. LEED certification is awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). LEED Gold Certification is a testament to The Julius Prague’s efforts to minimise its environmental impact through all phases of the property’s design, construction, fit-out and, since opening spring 2022, operation.

The journey to LEED Gold Certification entailed comprehensive strategies for sustainability, encompassing energy conservation, water efficiency, waste minimisation and indoor environmental quality. The measures implemented in accordance with the LEED Gold Certification process have a positive effect on the environment, minimise energy usage and costs, and benefit the overall guest experience.

Since receiving its LEED Gold Certification, The Julius Prague has become one of only 57 buildings in the Czech Republic certified by LEED to either Gold or Platinum Certification level for building design and construction. Within this elite group is only one other hotel, in addition to The Julius Prague.

“We are thrilled to have achieved LEED Gold Certification. This accolade reflects our deep commitment to environmental stewardship,” said Julius Meinl VI, CEO of Julius Meinl Living. “Sustainability is not only a choice but a responsibility, and we take pride in offering our guests an environmentally conscious, healthy, and sustainable environment during their stay.”

LEED Gold Certification acknowledges The Julius Prague’s outstanding contributions to a more sustainable and eco-friendly future, underscoring its unwavering dedication to sustainable and environmentally responsible hospitality.
