THRONE DAY OF MOROCCO

On the 30th July. the Embassy of Morocco has organized the Throne Day at the Residence of the Ambassador, Her Excellency Hanane Saadi.

The Throne Day (different from the Independence Day) commemorates the day of the King’s accession to the throne. The first celebration was held in 1933 in honor of Mohammed V of Morocco.  The current King Mohammed VI officially took the throne on 30 July 1999.

The event has been attended by several representatives of Czech institutions, in particular by the former President Vaclav Klaus and by the Former Prime Minister Andrei Babis. As usual in these occasions, there has been a number of diplomats from other countries present as well.

Delicious food and a selection of wines have been offered to the guests.
