TREBBIA Awards 2026 – Celebrating Art, Culture and International Dialogue in Prague
On 6 June 2026, the 23rd TREBBIA International Awards Gala was held in the magnificent Smetana Hall of Prague’s Municipal House. Organized by the TREBBIA Foundation under the leadership of Dr. Miroslav ‘Miro’ Smolák, founder of the renowned MIRO Gallery, the event has become one of Central Europe’s leading cultural occasions.
Founded in 2000, the TREBBIA Awards recognize exceptional achievements in artistic creation, philanthropy, support for culture, intercultural dialogue and lifetime achievement. Over the years, more than 140 laureates from dozens of countries have received the prestigious bronze TREBBIA statuette created by Czech sculptor Štefan Milkov.
Miroslav ‘Miro’ Smolák has dedicated much of his career to promoting international art and cultural exchange. Through the MIRO Gallery, located in the historic St. Roch Church at Prague’s Strahov Monastery, he has presented exhibitions featuring works by Picasso, Chagall, Dalí, Miró, Warhol and many distinguished contemporary artists.
The gala traditionally attracts ambassadors, ministers, members of parliament, business leaders, collectors, museum directors and artists from around the world. Musical performances and the elegant Art Nouveau surroundings of the Municipal House create a memorable setting for the ceremony.
The TREBBIA Awards continue to demonstrate that art and culture remain among the strongest bridges between nations. Thanks to the vision of Miroslav Smolák and the TREBBIA Foundation, Prague has established itself as the home of one of Europe’s most respected international cultural awards.
