SAKURA 🌸 🌸
Blossoming sakuras are certainly the most typical symbol of spring in Japan. Their delicate pink petals have been inspiring artists for centuries and are a delight for the eyes. In spring, they are literally a national topic – televisions regularly show the “sakura front”, or forecast showing sakura bloom in particular regions of Japan. While the subtropical islands of Okinawa usually bloom in January, the inhabitants of northern Japan will wait until May. In March, most of the Japanese population living on the island of Honshu can enjoy sakura.
