Vodafone will increase the price of mobile services

Vodafone, one of the largest mobile service providers in the Czech Republic, has announced plans to increase prices for its flat-rate mobile services due to rising energy prices and other expenses. According to the company, the prices for these services will increase by 9% for both business and non-business customers. This means that a tariff that previously cost CZK 599 will now cost CZK 652.

The operator claims that the main reason for the price increase is the significant rise in energy prices last year, as well as increased costs for network maintenance. Additionally, the volume of mobile data transferred on Vodafone’s networks increased by 40% year-on-year. Despite these rising costs, the company has stated that it has taken steps to mitigate the impact on customers by buying energy in advance and improving internal efficiency.

The new price lists will go into effect on February 26th or the next billing period following that date. Customers can see the increased prices on the operator’s website, and for new customers, the company will charge the original, lower prices until the end of February.

Vodafone has also advised customers that they can save money by bundling services. For example, if a customer chooses fixed internet, mobile services, and a TV offer from Vodafone, they will get a price advantage of up to CZK 700 per month for this package. However, it is worth noting that those who are already using discounted service packages will also see the price increase.

In conclusion, while the price increase for flat-rate mobile services may be unfortunate news for Vodafone’s existing customers, the company’s efforts to mitigate the impact on customers and its advice on bundling services may provide some relief.
