XXXLutz has opened the largest kitchen studio in the Czech Republic

XXXLutz opened the largest kitchen studio in the Czech RepublicFurniture retailer XXXLutz unveiled the largest kitchen and design studio in the Czech Republic in Prague on July 18, 2023.  In the shopping centre galerie Butovice Prague offered more than 120 kitchens and five sample apartments in an area of over 4400 square metres. The total investment amounts to 100 million crowns and the project has also created four dozen new jobs.
The project is the first of its kind in the company’s history and is intended to be a model for other countries where XXXLutz operates. Customers will have 15 specially trained designers to prepare a graphic 3D kitchen design for them for free.
“We’ve been experiencing high demand for our kitchens over the last two years. This led to the idea of building a space where we would offer customers a wide range of decors, styles and colours in one place. The total investment amounted to 100 million crowns and the project entails the need for four dozen newly created jobs. In addition to the staff on sale, also in logistics, supply and administration. A team of professional kitchen designers will help those interested to find a suitable option for their cuisine to meet even unusual requirements,” says Aldin Vatres, XXXLutz’s General Manager for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
In the menu, customers will find several kitchen brands such as Celina, Dieter Knoll, Novel, Welnova or Venda that cover all price categories. The space also includes a sample studio of electrical appliances, worktops, rear panels and mounts. With the kitchens on display, people can quickly navigate the possibilities offered by today’s market and get an idea of the approximate price. The newly opened showroom offers typified lines as well as planned kitchens in the order of the lower tens of thousands up to higher hundreds of thousands of crowns.
“We are aware of the fact that the kitchen is often the heart of the home. We therefore want to appeal to all customers, whether they desire a kitchen in a rustic style, a highly modern design, or a traditional design. Both families with children who choose larger kitchens and individuals who need a smaller line using every inch will come into their own,” adds Vatres.
Five model apartments were created to inspire customers and present the possibilities of using kitchen cabinets when planning furniture in other rooms, such as the living room or foyer. “Each of the apartments represents a unique concept, from modern minimalism to traditional elegance, and allows customers to imagine what their own homes with high-quality housing features can look like,” Vatres summarizes.
With a 3D kitchen planner online, buyers can first carve out space and deploy kitchen cabinets and appliances to their liking. They can then share the design with kitchen designers from XXXLutz and arrange a face-to-face meeting. Whether in the kitchen studio or in the kitchen department that customers can find in all 10 XXXLutz department stores across the Czech Republic.
XXXLutz is the second largest furniture retailer in the world. The company was founded in 1945 and currently employs more than 26,000 people. The group operates over 370 furniture stores in 13 European countries (Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Sweden, Serbia and Poland).
In the Czech Republic, 10 department stores and a kitchen studio operate under the XXXLutz brand. Since 2013, the company has also gradually built 24 e-shops under the XXXLutz, Möbelix and Mömax brands. The group’s annual turnover is €5.75 billion.”
