Business Mission to the Republic of Turkiye (formerly called Turkey)

By Pietro Andrea Podda, pietro.podda@pragueforum.cz

On the 19-21 October, the Czech Chamber of Commerce has organized a Business Mission to the Republic of Turkiye (formerly called Turkey), more particularly in Ankara and Istanbul.  The President of the Czech Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Vladimir Dlouhy, has also participated.  The mission has accompanied the Czech Minister of Industry and Trade, H.E.  Josef Sikela, to a professional visit to the Republic of Turkiye.  This country is an important trading partner of the Czech Republic, the mutual turnover has been increasing and now reaches almost 4 billion of Euros (+14%).  The Czech Government is interested in the intensification of these relationships.

Several representatives from the Czech-Turkish Business community have had the possibility to follow a rich program of presentations and panel discussions.  As usual, informal moments have represented a unique occasion for networking and establishing business contacts.

We are proud that Mr. Hans Weber, President of the Prague Forum, has been part of the Business Mission.
