Calls for Resignation of Prague Services Director Amidst Controversy and Speculation
Reports have emerged suggesting that the head of Prague Services, Patrik Roman, should step down from his position following concerns raised by employees about negative media coverage and attacks on the company. Councilor Jana Komrsková, in particular, has been critical of Prague Services, causing further unease among the employees.
Multiple independent sources, representing political parties ODS, TOP09, and ANO, have claimed that Deputy Mayor Svoboda’s deputy has targeted Patrik Roman, with the possibility of Jana Komrsková’s advisor, Petr Beneš, taking over as his successor. However, both Beneš and Roman have denied these claims, emphasizing that they are unsubstantiated and lack credibility. They assert that any changes in leadership would be carried out through a transparent and proper selection process.
Ultimately, the decision regarding the directorship rests with the supervisory board. Currently, there are no known plans for changes in leadership, and the newly composed supervisory board is scheduled to convene for the first time this week.
When contacted, some of Komrsková’s city council colleagues were unaware of any potential changes at Prague Services. One councilor mentioned past issues with Roman, including alleged arrogant behavior and unsatisfactory agreements with AVE. Another councilor found the possibility of Beneš replacing Roman plausible, considering the strong opposition between Komrsková and Roman.
Members of the supervisory board, bound by confidentiality, declined to comment officially on the matter. However, unofficial reports suggest that discussions about a change in leadership have taken place. Notable members of the supervisory board include Lukáš Wagenknecht, Eva Tylová, Radomír Nepil, Jan Kavalírek, and Alexander Bellu.
Positions within the organs of Prague Services have long been regarded as lucrative, further adding to the significance of any potential leadership changes. The situation remains fluid, and the future direction of Prague Services will likely depend on the outcomes of internal discussions and the decisions made by the supervisory board.
