Embajada de México en la República Checa

On the occasion of the 212th anniversary of the beginning of Mexico’s independence, which we celebrate at the Centenary of Mexican-Czech Republic Diplomatic Relations, Ambassador Leonora Rueda presided over the ceremony of the traditional “Scream of Pain”, act qu and was held in the concert hall of the prestigious Academy of Prague Performing Arts (HAMU) at Liechtenstein Palace. During the ceremony, the national anthems of Mexico and the Czech Republic were sung, followed by speeches by Ambassador Rueda and the guest of honor Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Martin Tlapa. The distinguished attendees were able to enjoy a magnificent musical performance by the Mariachi Azteca of Prague, in ensemble with the Virtuosi Brunensis Orchestra, who accompanied with typical Mexican songs the great presentation It’s from the folk ballet “Dvorana” and from the ballet dancers, Valeria Gaona and Carlos Ruiz. The musical part concluded with the presentation of soprano Naomi Villegas. Viva Mexico!
