Extended Warm and Dry Spell to Continue in the Czech Republic Through September

The Czech Republic is set to experience an extended period of warm and dry weather throughout the remaining days of September, with the upcoming weekend expected to be sunny and rain-free. According to the current weather forecast provided by the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute, this unseasonably warm and dry trend will persist, with a slight shift expected in the middle of next week.

Until Tuesday, the weather outlook calls for sunny and warm days with cooler mornings and the possibility of morning fog, especially near larger bodies of water. Towards the end of the week and into the following week, temperatures are expected to soar into the thirties in regions like Polabie and southern Moravia.

Friday is projected to be clear, with nighttime temperatures ranging from 13 to 9 degrees Celsius and daytime highs between 24 and 28 degrees Celsius. Saturday is set to bring even warmer weather, with temperatures reaching around 29 degrees Celsius, and Sunday may see temperatures soaring to 30 degrees Celsius in some areas, with no rainfall in sight.

As the new week begins, tropical temperatures are expected to persist, offering a summer-like feel. However, by Wednesday, a change is on the horizon as clouds move in from the west, heralding the arrival of the first showers and occasional thunderstorms. By week’s end, temperatures are predicted to range from 22 to 26 degrees Celsius.

This prolonged period of warm and dry weather is a notable departure from the typical autumnal climate, with the Czech Republic basking in unseasonable warmth. It’s important to note that while the warm and sunny conditions may be enjoyable for many, they also bring concerns about water shortages and increased fire hazards, as vegetation dries out in the absence of substantial rainfall.

Residents and visitors are advised to stay informed about weather updates and exercise caution in fire-prone areas during this dry spell. Additionally, water conservation measures may be necessary to ensure the sustainable use of water resources during this prolonged period of warm and dry weather.
