Football Fans Flock to Prague for Fiorentina vs. West Ham European Conference League Final

Football enthusiasts from Italy’s Fiorentina and England’s West Ham have been converging on Prague since Monday in anticipation of the European Conference League final at the Slavia Eden Stadium. With a seating capacity of 18,000, the stadium has already sold out, but a significant number of additional fans are expected to travel to Prague for the event.

The final match will take place at the Slavia Eden Stadium, with separate zones designated for each club’s supporters. Extensive preparations have been underway at Letna Park and the Exhibition Grounds to provide facilities for the fans.

Efforts are being made by the city and organizers to ensure the separation of fans from both clubs. Italian fans will be directed to the stadium via train from Holešovice, while English fans will predominantly be guided by Metro from Hradčanská.

Although the fan zones were scheduled to open today, the inclement weather has presented challenges, with the presence of puddles and slippery surfaces in the area.

To maintain security, a perimeter will be established around the Vršovice stadium, and only ticket-holders will be granted entry. The city has also implemented traffic restrictions on several surrounding streets.

“We understand that some of the measures may cause inconvenience for residents, and we apologize in advance for any disruptions. All parties involved have worked to minimize the impact on the daily lives of Prague residents while showcasing the city in the best possible light,” stated Petr Šedivý, spokesperson for the organizing team.

The arrival of football fans from Italy and England brings an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation to Prague as it prepares to host the European Conference League final. The city’s meticulous planning and arrangements aim to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all attendees while prioritizing the safety and convenience of residents. As the eagerly awaited match draws near, Prague embraces the opportunity to showcase its hospitality and passion for football on the international stage.
