Meteorologists Forecast Average to Slightly Above-Average Temperatures in Czech Republic for Next Three Weeks

Meteorologists from the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (CHMI) have released their outlook for the upcoming three weeks, providing valuable insights into the expected weather patterns in the Czech Republic. The forecast, covering the period from May 15th to June 11th, suggests that temperatures will be average to slightly above average during this time, following a recent chilly spell accompanied by increased precipitation.

According to the meteorologists, the current week is anticipated to be the coldest, with temperatures expected to fall below average. Nighttime temperatures will hover around 8 °C initially, dropping to approximately 5 °C mid-week, and then rising to around 12 °C towards the end of the week. Daytime temperatures are projected to reach about 15 °C at the beginning of the week, dropping to around 13 °C in the middle, and then rising to approximately 23 °C towards the end.

It is predicted that temperatures will not exceed twenty degrees until Friday, with Wednesday expected to be particularly cold, reaching only 7 to 11 °C in certain areas of the country. However, by Saturday, maximum temperatures should rise to 19 to 23 °C, and by Sunday and the following week, they are projected to reach 21 to 26 °C.

Over the next three weeks, meteorologists anticipate temperatures to remain within the average to slightly above-average range. The last week of the forecast is expected to be the warmest, with minimum temperatures around 11 °C and maximum temperatures around 22 °C.

Regarding precipitation, the forecast suggests that it will be generally average throughout the period, except for the first week, which may experience significantly above-average rainfall, with totals of up to 28 mm. As a precautionary measure, a warning has been issued for specific areas, valid from Tuesday afternoon until Wednesday morning.

It’s important to note that the monthly outlook provided by the CHMI represents general weather patterns and may not capture all potential fluctuations. The accuracy of temperature forecasts is estimated to be around 75 percent, while for precipitation, it is approximately 65 percent. Forecasts for the third and fourth weeks tend to align with long-term climatic values for the respective periods.

The CHMI’s forecast provides valuable guidance for individuals and businesses in planning their activities and preparing for the expected weather conditions. While weather predictions are subject to change, this outlook offers a reliable overview of what the Czech Republic can expect in terms of temperatures and precipitation over the next three weeks.
