Meteorologists warn of frost

Meteorologists warn that Friday morning will be cold due to clearing, and frost may damage some crops. The warning is in place for the whole country until 8 am.

On Friday, morning lows are expected to drop to 5 to 1 °C, but temperatures could drop to -1 °C with prolonged clearing or reduced cloud cover.

Meteorologists advise growers to cover crops with light-colored non-woven fabrics given the expected ground frosts.

Pressure is currently moving across central Europe and over the Balkans. Cold air from the north will flow along its front. Only on Saturday will we see a warmer southwesterly flow.

In the coming days, afternoon highs should be below 20 °C.
