Metro B is shut down; a man dies after falling under a train

Metro B between Českomoravská and Černý Most stations is not running. A man fell under a train at Vysočanská station.

The fall occurred around 9:30 a.m. Firefighters are intervening at the scene.

“A person collided with a metro train at Vysočanská metro station. Unfortunately, we were unable to help. The man died,” said Jana Poštová, a spokeswoman for the rescue services.

Police spokeswoman Martina Špryslová said it was most likely a suicide.

The transport company said that line No. 8 had been extended to Lehovec, while line No. 14 ends at the Hloubětín depot. Bus lines from Černý Most are extended to Lehovec.
