The Beer on Náplavka festival will present over 50 mini-breweries

Beer on Náplavka is a beer tasting festival that is returning to Rašínovo nábřeží this year. On June 17 and 18, over 50 representatives of Czech mini-breweries will arrive on the right bank of the Vltava in the center of Prague. The festival will also include food stalls, a beer flea market and several concerts. “The 10th year of the festival will take place this year. It will take place directly on Náplavka for the eighth time – in the previous two years, due to anti-pandemic measures, it took place during September in Holešovice, Prague. We expect that around four thousand people will come to the Prague embankment to enjoy the tasting of non-traditional beers this year, “said Jiří Sedláček, director of the Beer on Náplavka festival.

“Bad Flash Brewery, Malý Janek Brewery from Jinec, Panaczech Brewery, Švihov Family Brewery and Vik Family Brewery will take part in the breweries that were established during the covid period. One of the oldest domestic mini-breweries will also be present, namely Pivovar Běleč nad Orlicí and Pivovarský dvůr Zvíkov, both founded in 1993. Several restored breweries will arrive, which are located in the premises of the original, historic breweries and thus continue their activities – Pivovar Antoš , Chříč Brewery, Strahov Brewery and Dětenice Castle Brewery. The newcomer to the festival will also be the famous Matuška brewery. There will be both traditional Czech lagers and all kinds of top-fermented beers, which are now standard at mini-breweries. Among the more interesting will be beers with the addition of herbs – there will be anchor, calendula, dandelion or sage to taste, of course there will also be very refreshing and recently popular sourdoughs. This year’s guest will be a representative of large breweries, the National Brewery Budějovický Budvar, which has long supported domestic mini-breweries and at the same time our beer festivals, “explained Marek Kamlar, expert advisor at the Beer on Náplavka Festival.
