Azerbaijan may involve Czech companies in its ‘smart projects’

Czech companies may be involved in “smart city” and “smart village” projects in Azerbaijan, according to the Azerbaijani Minister of Economy. The matter was discussed at a meeting between Azerbaijan’s Deputy Economy Minister, Sahib Mammadov, and Czech Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Petr Tresnak. Both ministers are co-chairmen of the Commission on Economic, Scientific, Technical, and Cultural Cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic.

During the meeting, the development of Azerbaijani-Czech relations was discussed and the importance of mutual visits was noted. Mammadov stated that the commission is a useful platform for strengthening economic and trade partnerships, and there are huge possibilities for enhancing cooperation in the fields of trade, industry, transport, and tourism between the two countries. Tresnak also acknowledged the mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries and shared his opinions on expanding the ties.

The meeting also discussed the commission’s activities, expansion of trade, and economic cooperation. It is a positive step towards the development of smart cities and smart villages in Azerbaijan with the involvement of Czech companies, which can bring modern technologies and innovations to these projects. The partnership between the two countries has potential to further develop and bring benefits to both nations.
