Czech Ambassadors from European Countries to Meet at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The regular regional meeting of Czech ambassadors from European countries will take place at the Czernin Palace on 7 – 8 March 2024. Traditionally, the meeting will be opened by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Jan Lipavský and will include speeches by the Minister for European Affairs Martin Dvořák and the Chief of the General Staff of the Army of the Czech Republic Karel Řehka.

The main focus of this year’s meeting will be on security issues, including the impact of the ongoing war in Ukraine on Czechia and Europe and trends in the security environment. The ambassadors will also discuss European and EU issues in the light of the upcoming European elections and the most important strategic issues that the EU will address in the coming years. The second day of the meeting will be devoted mainly to economic issues, in particular strengthening Czechia’s competitiveness and the role of the Czech Foreign Service in this area.
