Czech Senate recognizes Holodomor as genocide against Ukrainian people

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has welcomed the decision of the Senate of the Czech Republic to recognize the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as genocide against the Ukrainian people.

The head of the Ukrainian state wrote this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

“I welcome the decision of the Senate of the Czech Republic to recognize the Holodomor as genocide against the Ukrainian people. I am grateful to my Czech friends for establishing the truth and restoring historical justice. Punishment for all past and present crimes of Russia is inevitable,” Zelensky wrote.

As reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine calls on the world to recognize the 1932-1933 Holodomor organized by Stalin’s totalitarian communist regime as genocide againt the Ukrainian people.
