Embaixada de Portugal na República Checa

The Lusíadas, the epic work of Portugal, written by Luís Vaz de Cam õeses, 450 years ago since it was first published on March 12, 1572. In order to emphasize the anniversary of the most illustrious Portuguese poem, we’re going to have a reading marathon.
The epic describes the adventure of Discoveries, having been published for the first time 70 years after Vasco da Gama’s trip to India, intertwining in its astrology myths, figures and historical moments of Portugal, since its foundation co mo nation.
The Center for the Portuguese Language invites you to attend the lecture by Karolina Valova, from the Department of Portuguese Studies of the University of Carolina, and to read the third, of the ten corners that compose the Lusíadas, made by the student s from the University of Carolina and the Embassy of Portugal in the Republic Check.
The event will take place on April 21st, at 7pm, at (A)VOID Floating Gallery.
