Minister Lipavský initiates the Czech-French workshop on AI technology

Minister Lipavský will host a two-day workshop bringing together leading Czech and French researchers, innovators, and entrepreneurs aimed at boosting joint projects and long-term partnerships in strategically important, artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.

One of the key goals stipulated in the 2018 Czech-French Strategic Partnership Action Plan is to work closely together in the area of innovation success and start-up support. Prague and Paris also support the common aim of EU countries that want to be among the global leaders in utilization of advanced AI technology. Some topics of the workshop will be: usage of AI in open economic competitiveness, protection of individuals, and AI for the common good. Speakers will also discuss regulations and ethical issues, management of applied research in public administration, and the private and public sector.

The workshop has been organized by the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of France, Paris AI Research Institute (PRAIRIE), French National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology (INRIA), and the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics (CIIRC CTU). A number of distinguished Czech and French researchers, experts, and innovative entrepreneurs will join as well. Detailed information on the event agenda is to be found at https://czech-french-ai.eu (where a registration is still possible). The proceedings of the workshop will be also available online.
