Prague 13 district to renovate public space in front of elementary school with city support

The Prague 13 district has commenced the renovation of the area in front of the Faculty Elementary School Between Schools, with a budget of 5.5 million CZK funded by the city. The aim of the project is to create a public space that offers better quality, comfort and convenience to the children, their parents, and the local community. This renovation comes in line with the annual renovation program undertaken by the city to enhance public spaces around schools.

The project will involve the removal of damaged and unattractive raised flower beds and pots. The deteriorating surface of the area in front of the school and the park will be replaced, and grassy areas will be expanded. New sidewalks will also be constructed, and urban furniture such as benches will be installed. The renovation will include the creation of a terrain wave in place of the raised flower beds and will be planted with two solitary trees to give a beautiful look. The renovated space will be designed to provide a quiet and relaxing zone to improve the school’s climate conditions.

The Mayor of Prague 13, David Vodrážka, said that the renovation will create quality spaces for children, their parents, and the surrounding community. Last year, the district also renovated the athletic field at the school and built two new classrooms for preschool children.

The project received a subsidy of 5.5 million CZK from the Climate Plan of the City of Prague, which focuses on supporting sustainable projects that help mitigate the impact of climate change. By creating green spaces and improving the environment, the project aligns with the city’s climate goals.

The renovation project of the Faculty Elementary School Between Schools is an excellent initiative to create better public spaces and improve the quality of life of the local community. The project will create a welcoming environment for children, parents, and the community to relax and enjoy quality time. The initiative also aligns with the city’s goal of promoting sustainable projects and reducing the impact of climate change.
