Prague Chess Festival – Abdusattorov triumphs, 1½ points ahead of the field

3/7/2024 – Nodirbek Abdusattorov is the sixth champion of the prestigious chess festival. In the process the the 19-year-old Usbek grandmaster rose to the fourth position in the world live ranking, ahead of the reigning world champion Ding Liren. Round 9

The Masters and the Challengers are 10-player single round-robin tournaments. Players receive 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes until the end of the encounter, plus 30-second increments starting from move one.

Rounds will be played daily from February 27 to March 7, except on Sunday, March 3, the one rest day. The action kicks off daily at 15.00 CET, except in the ninth round, when the games will start four hours earlier.
