Day 4. In October 2023, Ambassador Suzuki delivered the opening speech at the seminar on nuclear energy in Japan and the Czech Republic, which was held at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic. During the seminar the participants exchanged information about Japanese and Czech nuclear energy strategies and new trends in research and development. Representatives of the Japanese nuclear industry also presented the use of Japanese technologies in nuclear energy projects in the world. Representatives of both countries agreed that renewable resources and nuclear energy are key both to fighting climate change and achieving energy security and economic growth. We hope that Japan-Czech nuclear energy cooperation will continue to deepen in areas such as supply, research and development or human resource development.
